Jerry Yates 11:11 - Aug 10 with 2389 views | Veggie | A couple of mentions on Twitter of Jerry Yates (Blackpool striker) being seen with Keogh at the Salthouse. Any truth in this or just BS?

Thanks for clarifying. Thought it probably might be. One of the tweeters was actually someone who is meant to be a serious ITFC ‘stats’ person (Dan The Man or something) so thought there could be something in it. Got hopes up as we need a striker.

Twitter has been the first source of most if not all transfer / town news, including the takeover so time to put to bed that notion. [Post edited 10 Aug 2022 11:23]

Exactly. Twitter is the place for breaking news as and before it breaks. Traditional news outlets can only watch and follow. Obvs a lot of noise and false leads along the way. Hence my question. [Post edited 10 Aug 2022 11:26]

Hmm, I could make some kind of comment about people relying on social media for reliable/ accurate news as never, ever being a problem but I won't.

Of course not every piece of news is reliable on it, but there will be reliable news on there and generally before any other outlet.

That rather depends who you follow. London Symphony Orchestra tweets are fine.

I know you're not serious but in fact since the death of their great founder, Sir Thomas Beecham, the RPO really has become a third rank Symphony Orch. At the moment the LSO is probably the best British orchestra, very closely followed by the CBSO. Brum has been quite a lot in the news recently.
