Tory cretin of the week .... 18:08 - Oct 2 with 1941 viewsHARRY10

.... hots up

The usual favourites (Dorries and Rees-Mogg) were bumped from pole position pole by the Tory Party chairman, Jack Berry.

In comments that went far beyond the requirements of stupidity for a Tory he said " People know when they get their bills, they can either cut their consumption or get higher salaries or higher wages, and go out there and get that new job”

The sheer stupidity of that is breath taking, even when coming from a Tory. More so when it was earlier announced that nurses are leaving because of low pay and poor conditions.

What should someone at a lower pay than a nurse do ? Become a nurse ? Can people simply swap jobs, irrespective of any relevant skills needed ?

Maybe some see how they spend their working time as a vocation. They see the time they spend in doing something useful, something that makes a difference as being important.

A clear reminder of how Tories know the price of everything, and the value of nothing,

Yes, however it makes you wonder what is cause, and what is effect.

Do those with closed minds seek out such stories so as to vindicate their opinions

or are such stories the cause of their views

I have come to think it is the former - having previously thought it was much the latter

If that is the case then there is only one way forward - Revolution.

Hang on - Someone's knocking on my door.

...but It' s past 11pm on a Sunday night - I wonder who that could be?

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

It fascinates me that there are still a relatively high number of Tory members.

Can they not see what is happening? Or is it a case of having chosen their side and treating it like supporting a football team?

Winter's coming. Expect numbers to tail off dramatically in Jan/Feb.

And who is this regaining the lead ? Why if it isn't our old favourite the elongated stick insect.

Regulations and standards are to be dropped for firms under 500 workers (previously 50 workers)., under proposals from Rees-Mogg.

Perhaps that idea will be as successful as his venture to find benefits of brexit. So far, none.

Or his claim that hold ups at ports would be at Calais. Wrong. They are at Dover.

Shoved sideways (sacked) after his disastrous attempt to cover up for disgraced ex Tory MP Paterson - or his extremely ill judged witterings on about how Grenvile fire victims were at fault for their deaths.

However, it is the Tory conference so there is every thought another Cretin of the Week will emerge.

Wrong Barker.

It's hard to believe that those two roles were played by the same person at pretty much the same time.

I think it was Laurence Olivier who told Ronnie Barker that he was one of his favourite actors. Not just comic actor, but actor.

I know that's from Porridge! I was just showing off my knowledge from sitting around in my pants watching Gold.

Jack Berry’s comments were an inspiration to me. Last week I was stacking shelves at Lidls but I’m now CEO of a multinational bank although I’m really gutted they’ve reinstated the 45% rate of tax.

Sarcasm over.

I thought we weren't supposed to get pay rises because they would fuel inflation or something...

Badly thought out words.

For were the poorly paid to follow his suggestion they could well end up with highly paid jobs, thereby moving into the ranks of the elite, the wealthy liberal metropolitan elite - and even worse, the sneering liberal metropolitan elite

Who supposedly despise everything, especially the language. As it appears they do not use such phrases common to the err.... common people, such as ' thems our betters' and 'master knows best'

And then where would those betters find their cash in hand domestics staff, eh ?

Advice to senior Tories. Think before you speak.
