Braverman no longer Home Secretary 16:24 - Oct 19 with 3105 viewsSteve_M

Not clear if sacked or resigned but the former looks most likely. A small reason to cheer anyway:

Her comments yesterday about the “tofu-eating wokerati” should have seen her immediately disbarred from any position of office. A spiteful simpleton.

It was like something you see from those crank Russian bot accounts on Twitter.

I’m struggling to think of a more right-wing minister than Braverman in the UK’s recent history.

From the BBC:

Senior Conservative MP Charles Walker tells the BBC that after this evening's events in the voting lobby, he's livid and has run out of patience with his party and his colleagues.

Visibly shaken, Walker says it is "inexcusable" and there is "no coming back" from this for the government.

"I think it's a shambles and a disgrace," Walker says, adding that the current government has damaged his party's reputation.

He says he has had enough of "talentless" people being in cabinet and says he hopes it was worth it for those who backed Liz Truss for a red box or a seat around the cabinet table.

Walker, an MP for 17 years, says many fellow Tory backbenchers are frustrated by the current cabinet and afraid for their jobs.

"Patience has reached the limit," he adds.

I find it somewhat surprising that that it's only now they're realising that their reputation has been damaged. It was damaged long ago.

Still, it's good material for sh*ts and giggles:

(no reason to post this here other than I don't see the point of starting another thread).

I don't doubt that the official reason is bollicks, but how would the IT software pick it up if she sent it from her personal mail/phone?

It can only have got to her personal email account by being sent by email from her official email account (no govt computers accept USB sticks etc).

IT security software picks up if documents contain classified stuff.

She isn't just right-wing though is she.

She's nasty and stupid.
