After Ullaa inexplicably recommending terrible Moonfall on here the other day, I thought it might be nice to have a thread celebrating actual good films of recent times.

I've just watched Brian and Charles and would heartily recommend it. Heart-warming and a bit (lot) quirky, not really like many other films I've ever seen.

Moonfall is the best film of 2022 and will be forever remembered. I'm going to watch it again just to spite you brutes.

Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa

Watched The Courier the other night. True Cold War story, and some serious weight loss by Cumberbatch at one point!

Escape From Pretoria

Harry Potter as an anti-apartheid activist (he would be, he was a pretty good kid) gets thrown into jail and.... errr.... given the title it's probably not a spoiler, escapes.

Based on a true story.

Available on Prime.

Another one for you....

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, starring Nicholas Cage as Nic Cage.

It's very meta, but also very good.
