When your struggling like that you really don't need external factors giving you further challenges.
Think it's a great time now for a bit of a league break, see what we can do against Rotherham and try and get the squad back to full fitness.
I also don't think he was dismissive of new additions coming in just whether there would be additions this week. Think he punted that question quite well.

The problem with playing a high tempo, high possession, pass and move game and a high defensive press does mean players will get tired. Especially when you are playing twice a week.
The illnesses over the last week probably don't help either.

Upped for your last sentence - think some people haven't taken in that if pretty much the entire squad's been suffering from the bug, then it's almost cerain he has too.
Obviously the result didn't help, but he's human too & was probably desperate to get home to his sofa or bed with a hot toddy. | |
