This has got to be the daftest request for advice so far this year.
Hired car from Hertz, city of Derry Airport. The kind chappie helped take our suit cases to the car and put them in the boot. I was pushing wife in her wheelchair.
Arrived hotel and can’t fund any lever, button or switch or anything to open the boot.
Fortunately it is spacious, even if has a sewing machine engine, so folded down back seats and got luggage and wheelchair any that way.
Anyone know how to open the bloody tailgate?
If not will go to Dacia dealers in the morning which is close to airport. Fortunately staying at Premier Inn quite close to airport.
Second comment down says "The boot light is controlled by the central locking. The operating mechanism & switch are concealed under the plastic cladding."

Read that before, in desperation posting on TWTD, couldn’t understand it.
The hire was supposed to be a Skoda Octavia Estate, Hertz seem to think the Dacia is a comparable vehicle. By my reckoning it is at least a third cheaper.
This isn't supposed to be patronising but here goes...
Have you tried pressing the button underneath the black plastic bit that's just above the number plate? All of the videos I've watched of the Jogger shows a person walking up to the boot, reaching underneath the black plastic bit and the boot opening!
Maybe there's a double lock feature so you need to press the unlock button on the remote key twice to be able to open the boot?
I know some cars won't let you open the boot with the ignition on (as an anti-theft feature) so make sure that the ignition is off and the key out of the ignition barrel before trying to open the boot lid.

Yup, there is a button in the centre up underneath the trim just above the number plate.

How many videos have you watched?
"They break our legs and tell us to be grateful when they offer us crutches."
I've only looked at one video, so apologies if my research isn't super comprehensive. However go to 0:25 on this and the button is clearly under the black plastic trim and looks to be directly in line with the C in Dacia.
Just make sure you check the key fob for a button to specifically unlock the boot, don't have the car running and check for a double lock feature.

Thanks everyone. Found it. Button in under a nasty cheap strip of plastic, in line with rest of the vehicle, though well equipped rear camera etc, it is a cheap and nasty vehicle, even the seats are uncomfortable for just a 10 minute drive.

Poor substitute for an Octavia Estate I paid for.
Phew!!!

Wish I had never seen it, never mind driven it. Will sit outside until I drive back to Derry on Sunday,
Will try and get a partial refund. No way is it a comparable vehicle for the one I thought I was hiring.
Dacias certainly are a little utilitarian but for me that's part of the charm. We had one as a company pool vehicle, 67 plate Duster with 4WD but nothing else - windy windows in the back and no radio!
I hope you're successful with your complaint and that it doesn't fall on deaf ears; "It's Skoda Octavia or equivalent, sir. The Jogger is an equivalent size.... yada yada yada"!!
Anyway, I hope you and Mrs PW have a nice time away.
