Oxford put out a tweet an hour ago welcoming Ipswich, which I don't think they would have done if there was a pitch inspection or there was any chance of the game being called off.

Someone responded to this with the following.

I called the ticket office yesterday to ask about a refund in the event the game got called. They made me feel quite stupid for even asking the question and said “the covers are on and the game will go ahead as we’re expecting it to warm up”

I suppose I'm an optimist, or is it clutching at straws, because I'm heading off to the game in half an hour? And it would have been nice if Oxford had put out some sort of clarification by now, given all the speculation. Or maybe it's just too early to be sure.

No snow here north of Oxford but very foggy and freezing.

At least it only takes us 20 minutes to get to the game so not panicking yet.
