...a day of missed opportunities and shoulda, woulda, coulda...I got thinking.
Ipswich have had plenty of players that have been set to be legends in Blue but for one reason or another never quite worked out. The nearly men.
It made me think...Gio Dos Santos is always held up as one of the best players we saw play for town in recent years but he only pulled on an Ipswich shirt 8 times. Just 8 appearances.
Went on to get 106 caps for Mexico though and 19 goals.
So what about a town 11 of players who could have made it big time here, but never quite stayed long enough. Max amount of appearances 10.
Mark FIsh with his solitary appearance, but over 60 caps for South Africa.
There must be a pretty decent team of nearly men out there...come on...I've put down 2! Anymore for anymore? 11 can't be too hard to find! |  |

and 63 caps for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bajner was a striker so can play up top with Rhodes and Malarczyk is a CB so he's at the heart of the defense with Fish.
