That other teams manage to build decent squads on shoestring budgets, yet all we seem to buy are expensive flops?

Perhaps the scouting system needs looking into.

Who are the expensive flops?

Yeah not sure we have expensive flops but we’re not playing an effective brand of football given the investment. Can’t imagine the ownership are buzzing at investing 10s of millions in the squad, staff and infrastructure to see us sitting with 1 win more than Shrewsbury Town.

All the well paid players who are drawing too many games in this pathetic league . It is not good enough.

Keep kidding yourself if you don’t think they are flops.

We are mentally fragile - I think they need a club psychologist!

First 30/40 mins was atrocious- like rabbits in headlights, terrified in defence and couldn’t string a pass together. Everyone panicked on the ball and looked to turn it over as soon as they got it. The penalty was a gift but I doubt there was a single person in the ground that thought we’d nail it.

Broadheads goal was fantastic and changed the game. Had that not gone in I feel like we’d have completely folded and lost 4-0.

The only plus point for me is that we turned up for the second half, and completely dominated. Wuick tempo, one touch passing, and no fear. We scored twice against a team that have only conceded twice in 11 games.

Weds are a good side, but we can take heart in the fact they were happy to play for a point rather than try and win it. Wanting to be champions and resorting to tactical fouls and time wasting was a bit odd for a team that want to win the league.

As an aside some great noise from the fans today - even after such a diabolical start.

By using the loan system.

Plymouth have some excellent players. But they aren't Plymouth players and they won't be at the club next season. Whereas we are building solid foundations.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

If we are mentally fragile...do you think we'd have got back to 2 all against them?

I do think it was a case of one nice move resulting in the free kick which Broadhead scored from that changed the game. I don’t think we would have come back from 2-0 down if that was the score line at half time.

We’ve essentially built a Championship squad ( with the exception of the defence!) …. This squad will struggle to get out of League One because

1) They can’t win the physical battles, either individually or collectively .
2) We try to pass it into the net .
3) Our build up in play from out of defence has been sussed and is slow and is predictable . Guess what, opponents know what we will do !
4) We have no ability in this squad to go toe to toe with the billy boy tactics.
5) We are so mentally weak it’s laughable now.
6) We can’t defend .

Being in the Championship, it is likely many will be replaced, and as they seem to be able to bring in decent loans then most likely they will do that again.

We are building ? Suggests that after 2 seasons we still do not have players up to it.

The thought was that we would be up easily last season. Things didn't work, so nevermind it will be this season.....only recent form of 8 points out of 21 suggests it might not be this season either.

i would take any loaness, players whill have to be replaced in the summer or whatever it trakje to get us out of this pooxy league - and worry about 'building' when we are in the Championship.
