No pitch invasion at Bramall Lane tonight 22:01 - Apr 26 with 1766 viewsMatt_Netherlands

Probably sets more of a precedent than Wrexham and Leyton Orient. Have to admit it did look a bit weird though.

I remember when many fans were saying they wouldn't even celebrate promotion from this league.

Anyway, I hope the players aren't as complacent as us fans. Exeter a tough nut to crack.

Apparently there were announcements asking people not to. That’s fair enough. Football loses something imo, but it’s obviously the club’s choice.

Heckingbottom asked them not to so the whole crowd can enjoy the celebrations as one with the lap of honour.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

The nonsense that went on after the play-off ties last season have played a part I think. Its a bit different in our case as any invasion at PR Saturday is hardly going to goad Exeter or be at their expense.

I do think a lap of honour afterwards would be the most inclusive thing though. We have to remember some fans are physically unable to run on the pitch.

It will be quite amusing to see the Exeter players and officials sprint off the pitch and down the tunnel only for there to be no pitch invasion.

I love ‘scenes’ as much as the next bloke but let’s keep the support as classy as the team, and let McKenna and the boys celebrate with all 30000 fans and not have to get off the pitch quick for the sake of a few pissheads?

If it was the first season, probably not but after 4, we will be going big on the celebrations I am sure

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!
