It's an excellent series, I came to it late with Season 2 already aired. Have looked forward to every new episode, it's on my Wednesday to do list.
Some cheesy moments but the good vibes the shows consistently gives out allows them to get away with it.

Bit cheesy, but scattered with plenty of feel good stuff and serious moments too, quite an unusual show but really enjoying it.

Really good episode - some say cheesy etc but it's "feel good TV" for the most
Mrs Hacker has no interest in football (she's from Rotherham which explains) but she loves the programme

I don't think the second series is as good as the first, but it's still watchable.

It's a show full of excellent characters and plot lines. Roy Kent is one of my favourite characters in any TV series ever.
It's also nice how the show has given a massive platform to the likes of Brett Goldstein and Hannah Waddingham who are talented people who've been working hard for years. |  | | |

Yeah this, plus it's lost the jeopardy that the first series had.
I still like and watch it, but the whole point was him being an American football coach who doesn't understand soccer, managing a top English team will be a disaster, and hilarity ensues (and he's a great, positive character who, it turns out, warms/charms everyone's hearts).
They're giving a decent fist of it, but there's nowhere much else to go after that. | |
