Forget Taylor, I’d be happier to sign 22:37 - May 18 with 5182 viewsTalkingBlues

Edwards for CB, he looks good and would suit our style of play perfectly, plenty not future upside potential too.

So what you're saying is there's a good chance we will sign him?

"Edwards imminent" story is already being written.

If we could sign him we would, but he'll go to a Pl side for big money (£5m-ish) and be loaned back down to Champ

It would be handy for Ashton to do us a favour and sign Edwards and then sell on for big money, just like he did with Webster at Bristol City!

I mean anyone saying Taylor is meh or ‘can’t see the fuss’ is just proving their extreme lack of understanding of football really.

Agreed. No surprises to see it was talkingsh*te then.

No what I'm saying is any club who want a Peterborough player won't pay over the odds

My point was more about people who accuse others of having zero football knowledge and not so much about harness but i'll bite.

Is there also an argument that we'd have won the league if it weren't for his absymal first touch? Whoever played instead of him in the parellel universe in which we didn't sign him could have also shinned in 6 goals etc etc etc

You will never know what anyone else would or wouldn't have done but his direct contribution is at least 7 ponts
Fleetwood 2-2
Burton 1-0
FGR 2-1

So because he was the guy who touched the ball last before it went in the goal, he won us 7 points on his own?

Marcus if you're reading this, it's still not about you. Now it's about which statistics are important in football.

I’ve seen enough ITFC players in the last X amount of years show zero bo11ocks when it matters…

I’m sure he’d be better in a different team/set up, but wasn’t a great one for the CV lastnight

These things are about the whole team in a particular moment though, aren't they? The Barcelona team that crumbled at Anfield had players in it who had won everything worth winning.

What I said was he scored the goals that directly earned us at least 7 points - you can't deny him that ! even if you don't rate him

and also didn't write that he won it all on his own - you just wrote that you could work for the Sun with your imagination or lack of

Sod it i'll bite again. There are 11 players that earn points. One wears gloves and uses his hands, 2 or 3 mostly try to get in the way of shots, a couple stop crosses and do crosses of their own, one kicks the sh!t out of anything that moves in the middle and the rest run around a lot and generally try to get the ball in the goal. Every now and then one of them manages it. A lot of things have to happen nearly perfectly for a goal to be scored.
