Wembley Stadium travel 18:21 - Jun 15 with 2196 viewssoupytwist

What’s the best way to travel to and from Wembley Stadium this Saturday from Braintree area? Wife and teenage kids are going to see Harry Styles. Had an email from Ticketmaster discouraging the use of Wembley Park and Wembley Stadium/Wembley Central are less convenient if going into Liverpool Street/Stratford.

Public transport preferred but driving part way is possible, or being collected from somewhere in outer London afterwards by car (if getting public transport in that direction afterwards is easier).

Thanks

I always go to Wembley Park, is obviously very busy but never no problems, expect a wait down Wembley Way when leaving!

Also usually always park at Newbury Park tube station when we go to London but Epping may be better for you from Braintree area, or if you want to drive a bit further than maybe Stanmore tube station.

Yep exactly this. I tend to park at Hillingdon when coming from over this way, but Newbury Park better from your side of London.

Miss and Junior Slave are going too. Only got the tickets 2 days a ago and a Just Park driveway 15 minutes away has cost them £50!!
Are yours standing or sitting?

They're sitting.

I might look at a Just Park type thing.

Often when going to London we drive to Leytonstone and get the tube from there. It's the last stop on the Central line before it splits so any eastbound train stops there and it has a small car park where there's generally space, especially at the weekend.

The way to best experience a Harry Styles concert at Wembley is to catch the 06:15 service to Edinburgh via B’ham New Street

I took the Mrs and eldest last night. Parked in the green stadium car park. They were out and back to the car about 11. Google mapped it home (Bury St Edmunds) and got in at 1:30. So about an hour extra journey time getting out of central London... not too hideous.

You could try Epping tube station, I've parked there and used the underground for London away games a few times. Pretty painless as it's just A14 and M11, no driving inside the M25. Couple of changes on the tube though obviously and you'll have the long queue up Wembley way on the way out. Honestly think you're likely to cop it regardless of what you do.

Last time I went to Wembley I parked at Watford Junction and got the overground train to Wembley Central.

A little bit of a walk from Central, but getting the train after the game was a breeze because everyone else was heading in to London instead of out.
