Looks like our Head of Sports Science has left for a Director of Performance role at FC Tulsa.

Fair play to him. Good step up in pay I would imagine that it.

A lot of the backroom roles are relatively poorly paid. This is quite a good promotion for him - do a couple of years out there and then maybe look at a Director of Performance back in the Championship

Not sure of that. Tulsa get crowds of 4k and the USL is basically the conference (to MLS being the EFL) without promotion or relegation, obvs.

He's now a sporting director, and is moving out to Tulsa to create a better life for his family.
Sounds like a step up to me.

I don’t doubt it will be a good experience for him, and a potentially good career promotion. Merely pointing out that I don’t think a minor league soccer team who average 4k a game crowds will be blowing us out of the water financially.

My eldest son is Girls ECNL Director of Tulsa SC, which is a development club. I'll try to find out about FC Tusla.

Edit. Spoke to my boy. The lifestyle and money are far better. Turns out my boy had a couple of seasons with FC Tulsa.

He moved back to the UK four years ago to become Assistant Coach for the U18 first team at Stevenage but was tempted back to the states by the lifestyle and much better money.
