Great idea. Blackmail the LGBT community

Seems unnecessarily aggressive.

Also, I think the LGBT+ community have enough to protest about without adding new oil and gas into the mix.

Just seems an odd group for JSO to target. And why the need to go in so hard (i.e. with a short time limit)?

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Leaving aside the fact that a lot of their action seems to be counter-productive when it comes to winning hearts and minds, I don't really care what Just Stop Oil get up to, but I do draw the line at targeting a community very much under attack as part of the culture wars.

I can't claim to be an expert on the subject, but isn't there a big Pride March in London this weekend?

So basically Just Stop Oil are threatening to chuck some orange paint dust over them if those involved with Pride don't comply with their demands?

In what world would anyone consider that to be a good idea?

Is this a joke?

Maybe Pride ought to list some counter-demands, with its own threats.

Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa

Chucking orange paint over a Pride march? I doubt I'd even notice!

Why not add a whole rainbow of colours for a really full on protest?

Reading the replies, I think this one nails it:

Their demands??
Ffs who gives them the right to make demands.

I would also argue this is a threat, isn't that against the law these days to make a threat against an individual/group?

They go after every other community and events that mean a lot to them, why should a Pride march be exempt from disruption?

You have a point but, for me, I don't believe that targeting under-fire minorities is a good idea, just as I don't think it would be a good idea to target, say, a march for disabled people's rights.

Their best bet would be to join in the Pride events but, in any event, I am not sure any disruption would really affect an event which is far less structured than, say, a cricket match.

I don't see a Pride march these days as an under-fire minority hunkering down to try and change their status etc - it's no real different to something like the Notting Hill carnival being targeted for me

It's just a big public event that will generate news so is fair game if everything else is - I find it difficult to see how they can much effect on it though
