Exactly that. Scouts were attached to clubs but in John’s case he combined the role with a full-time job. Same with George Findlay in Scotland, who had worked with Bobby at Fulham. He had successes with Burley, Wark and Brazil, while he also brought Pat Nevin and Charlie Nicholas down as kids. | | | |
