Completely agree.
Her only game was against the mighty Melksham Town - the equivalent of our Felixstowe friendly.
This is no disrespect to her, but you could put a fan in place for the first preseason friendly if you wanted to, it's hardly a pivotal step forward for women's representation in men's coaching. If anything, it's a step backwards and is shown up for the marketing ploy it was. | |

I guess we don't know what the conversations were at the time but from the press relaeas it came across, at least to me that she was going to have chance to stake a real claim for the role.

I'm sure Mr Vince is never one to say no to some airtime but there's a pretty obvious reason why this would be of greater media interest than other such appointments.
If there's an issue here it's with 'the media' for blowing it a bit out of proportion to the extent it's made a load of people forget what the word 'interim' means. |  |

Yeah I'm not saying they/he wasn't keen to make a thing of it initially but, imo, it's not a particularly good PR stunt if she barely got a couple of weeks and now all the reaction is negativity about the whole thing. | |
