Waiting for Jonny's half-century? Days 4 and 5 still look awful.

I can't see any play over the whole w/e. Met office forecast below

We've just over 30 mins to get them out

That doesn't look promising at all does it.

Bloody Manchester.

I very much like the bat once approach. Where I'm less convinced is in Australia being expansive enough for those extra runs to prove more valuable than the bowling overs, given what little cricket may be left in this match. Hopefully I'm putting far too much trust in British weather reports!

The Norwegian weather forecast service which I find a bit more reliable for UK weather than the Met Office or BBC, is somewhat more optimistic for Sunday between 11am-5pm - (though putting on & removing the covers plus drying manoeuvres might still very much limit playing time).

It puts us in control of the pace of the game. If we needed 100 runs on Sunday, they woul dbe bowling 7 overs an hour and waiting for the next rain break.

Also socreboard pressure, fatigure after long chaotic fielding days etc is a significant thing.

Sensible stuff. My concern is that this match has far fewer overs left than would be required for that scenario to play out though, particularly when the target extinguishes Aussie hope of victory. Hopefully Ryorry's weather site is more accurate and we still have a chance. We certainly deserve it.
