I think he looks quite good defensively, but going forward he doesn’t look convincing. Still a whole season ahead to improve on this performance but early signs are that we dodged a bullet here. Will improve with age but personally think with fees and all things considered hirst was the better option [Post edited 6 Aug 2023 13:13]

Yes can't judge him on just the one game , maybe the fee is heavy on his shoulders at the moment. Rushed his best chance and sort of miskicked his good chance high and wide . More to come I think . |  | | |

He was pretty poor today, but I have seen excellent players have terrible debuts. He's done well at this level before, I am sure he will find his feet. Still think Hirst will look the better deal though. |  |

I'm sure it been mentioned over the summer, but I swear Taricco had a nightmare debut and most thought he'd never play for us again. | |
