Agreed. I thought the subs did OK.

I find it odd that Ladapo is getting stick when Hutchinson did exactly the same thing, if not worse. Had plenty of time to square it, but no1 seems to mention him.....

Harness and Ladapo are the new boo boys.

Because one is a 19 year old kid and the other a seasoned pro who has played nearly 400 senior games.

Yes I support & get behind our players all of the time. That doesn't mean I'm not allowed to hold my head in my hands and wish Freddie had laid the ball off for a likely goal for us in that situation.

Indeed, Ryorry's post is now out of context for a comment made during the match.

It's a shame but to me watching on the tele-box the square pass was cut out and had to shoot

To be fair I can imagine if he had tried to square it and the defender cut it out ,the comment would then be "why didn't he shoot?"

Freddie gets a rough ride. Not saying he's the answer but he's definitely not the problem

100% this. The replays show conclusively that pass was completely blocked.

Probably because of Hutch's youth, and first time playing a league game for us, most are understandably prepared to cut him more slack.

Freddie's ten years his senior & has had a whole season regularly playing league games in our set-up, so is rightly expected to be wiser.

Watching it again, I think Freddie has done well to beat the defender to get his shot away. If it's on target then it's a good effort and he's done the right thing, however, it's not so therefore the nit-picking starts. He might have been able to lay the pass off in to the space that Ball was running into before he got the defender to commit but in that split second he chose to take him on.

My real time reaction was the same as Ryorry's, though.

Perrsonally I think that is a lazy excuse. Hes a professional footballer and been at 2 of the top teams in english football. If hes good enough it doesn't matter how old he is.

He had a better opportunity to pass it across than Ladapo.

BTW I'm not having a go at him, but we need to be consistent with players.

These players need a few games and all will be fine.

Definitely some poor decision making in the final stages of the game.

Hutchinson & Ladapo guilty of that in big moments.

It didn't hurt us this time, but will do at some stage if we don't make better decisions.
