Not to sound dramatic, but that should be an attempted murder charge.

Not dramatic at all. It should be.

This is totally 100% out of order, people that do this moronic stuff are a real minority though. I know a number of burnley fans that are the nicest people you'll meet and would feel embarrassed by this school playground behaviour

Doubt they could make that stick (have to prove an intention to kill). Had someone have died, it would be manslaughter*. But certainly is is a serious assault with the intention of causing damage and at the very least negligence towards inflicting serious injury.

They have plenty of previous, though it is normally supporters coaches that get bricked.

This behaviour has no place in society whereever it occurs. I would be concerned that by posting it on here, and no doubt potentially other forums up and down the country it is giving these individuals the attention they seek. They are sad, pathetic nobodies that deserve no attention for acting in such a manner but will no doubt thrive off this attention until they seriously cause harm. It needs to get stopped

Exactly, doubt these lads were even at the game...

It's a society problem, crime and unreported crime at that is rife everywhere now.

Not exactly.

There only has to be a proven intent to cause Grievous Bodily Harm, and that death was the consequence, to support a Murder charge. There doesn’t need to be an intent to kill.

Only time I’ve ever seen a knife at football up there - kid waving it about after the game when Trotter scored, we won 3-0 and I think a parachute landing on the pitch delayed kick off.

Had some really good days out in Burnley, Blackburn, Preston etc.
