One was from Ipswich and moved down to Liskeard some years ago, the other didn’t say.

I'm in the South West supporters group and there actually a lot of Town fans from Kernow....
Some very dedicated ones who drive to every Saturday game, home and away.

Last time I was in Portugal, I lucked into a local cafe/bar full of Porto fans whilst wearing an old Town top. An initial casual discussion about football turned into at least three all-nighters with the locals who, if they're Porto fans, are almost as reverential about Sir Bobby as we are. I was in Atlanta this time last year wearing my blackout kit fresh from delivery in the UK. I was in their most famous dive bar and had just spent the day wearing it around the city, to the Mercedes Benz arena, to Coca Cola World etc, no one had said anything. Then in this dive bar a bloke runs after me and taps me on the shoulder - “Oh my God! Are you from Ipswich?! Hell yeah dude!”
Long story short, after bonding over our love of Ipswich it turns out he’s from Ipswich, Massachusetts and had read the Ipswich Town Foundation logo on the back of my shirt.
On the plus side I went to a new stein-type beer hall in Seven Dials this evening and met the owner who is from Düsseldorf and we bonded over Ipswich Town discussion. |  | | |

Every Saturday game home and away is some going.
We’ve half-thought of moving down there (Mum’s family are from near Bodmin), and to commute every Saturday for games would be a hell of an effort (and cost!).
Not sure I’d drive it all, but maybe get the train at least half the way. | |
