Well played Town, but….. 18:00 - Sep 23 with 2067 views | ArnieM | OMG, I swear I was in bloody heart failure through that last 10 mins …. Blackburn were a really good side and Kieran wasn’t wrong was he when he said they’d slice through you if you gave that opportunity. In the 2nd half they seemed to slice through our defence at will. If they had a better striking end (get their strikers back from injury), they’d be promotion candidates for sure . Our goals were amazing today but our defence looked paper thin at times today …. It was it just that Blackburn were a quality team going forward! But this was a really outstanding game for the neutral . So I’m now drawing breath, having a cuppa then a shower (biking up the hill post match finishes me off!!!), might even have to have a lie down after that. Bloody brilliant game… Oh, and can’t leave without noting that scum result. Always leaves a warm fuzzy feeling dunnit and is the cherry 🍒 on the cake 👍👍

Well played Town, but….. on 18:02 - Sep 23 with 2026 views | Cheese_Sandwich | It doesn't help when you find yourself having to play against the referee as well. I thought we kept remarkably calm considering some of the awful decision-making.

The foul against Hirst and his subsequent yellow card for “kicking the ball away” was a disgrace. Morsy’s booking also a joke

Well played Town, but….. on 18:21 - Sep 23 with 1905 views | Swansea_Blue | I was in in the last 10 as we were focussed on closing it out. I was more worried when we were 3-1 up and still pushing forward leaving massive amounts of space behind for Blackburn to attack. Kevin Keegan would have loved that one today. Who needs a defence anyway?

Someone else mentioned Keegan to me earlier on. Hey, what's wrong with a closer to home Joe Royle?

Oh...that was why he got booked. I thought it was for allowing the defender to nearly RIP his shirt off his back. Morsy was booked as he was frustrated not to get a free kick himself so kicked out.

What did Leif get booked for? Couldn't see from the SARL, but it was a surprise to see him waving a card about.

Ref had nothing to do with how well Blackburn attacked
Well played Town, but….. on 21:42 - Sep 23 with 1438 views | pointofblue | I don't think the issue was solely the defence. We defended badly as a team - they worked through their defence and bypassed the midfield far too easily. Then again, they would no doubt say the same about us.

There were some bad decisions, but I don't think we were anywhere close to "playing against the referee". The big calls - eg their dive - were correct.

Not sure it was "the defence" per se on 21:59 - Sep 23 with 1358 views | Dyland | We defend as a team, and in the first fifteen or whatever of the second half Rovers got a lot of joy through the middle, turning our defenders around with dinks over the top and incisive play from the midfield. It's gonna happen. Our defenders are very good.

Wasn't Hirst's "foul" just before their third? If that had been given against them/not given at all, then that may have panned out differently.
