The jab didn't stop you catching Covid though. People with 10 boosters (or whatever you're up to now) are still catching it.
I think you're misrepresenting the vaccine here.
It was never said to completely stop infection, it was however proven to massively reduce the severity of infection and thus reduce hospitalisations and deaths.
I don't believe you don't know this as it's been reported for years so the only conclusion left is that you're being deliberately disingenuous.

So why were people called "Granny killers" then? As you say, it didn't stop anyone getting infected.

It did reduce the viral load of infection which in turn reduced the transmission rate. This was especially effective for Alpha and remained effected for Delta at a reduced rate. Being vaccinated also cleared out the viral load quicker reducing the time one could transmit the virus.
Having the vaccine also reduced the chances of hospitalisation by a huge amount thus freeing up resources for treating severe cases and other illnesses.

That article doesn't confirm what you've asserted.
Still waiting for that scientific paper I requested earlier. You've managed to reply about 5 times since then, surely you have evidence to support your assertion?
It's also important to note that you're focusing specifically on clots (something that is still worse in actual infection) and ignoring all the other horrible things that can occur through infection (long covid, organ damage, brain fog, lung issues etc).
If you read the entire article you will see that a lot of what has been said to you is mentioned in this segment. The view was that the risks were outweighed by the benefits. And most adults over 40 were offered alternatives - not that it was withdrawn.
The AZ vaccine was no longer ordered as they wanted to roll out a new jab designed to target two specific variants in the booster programme.
Some of the main questioning that seems to have come to light is we weren’t really given the full story (or maybe it wasn’t known) in terms of efficacy, with the trials all claiming to be in the 90 percentile or higher. In spring 2021 the narrative was very much that if you take it you would likely not get Covid at all at the time. This obviously shifted over the coming months.
Plenty of data to suggest it saved lives of many many vulnerable people. It was probably not saving your life if you were healthy and under 65 (giving the stats we know about who was dying from Covid). However, it likely reduced the viral load which was certainly a good thing during the more potent strains with hospitals under immense pressure.
People should have the perfect right to make health decisions based on the latest information and basically every company that required you to be vaccinated to come into the office shifted their thinking along time ago.
I personally took the first two in May 2021, having had Covid a bunch of times since and decided against any boosters being under 40 in relatively good shape. It was basically a cold every time I had it 21/22 and I don’t even know if I’ve had it this year. I just take the usual precautions if feeling unwell.
The pushing of it on children by the CDC over here in its current state seems unnecessary with the data out there. Not many counties are doing that.

That's a fair analysis.

No doubt the vaccine saved people's lives. But as any vaccine comes with dangers it was shameful the way people were pressured into getting it, when they didn't need it.

Don’t forget about people that also lost their jobs for a personal health decision. This was even going on after transmissibility and risks of Covid per population were established. Then again it was the same period of time that people were posting pictures of others reading in parks with no one around them saying “this doesn’t look like exercise” and supported all kinds of bizarre policy.
Strange times.

Imagine being so utterly sociopathic you think 'hey, just think, you could have less chance of dying horribly and you could also have less chance of causing your nan to die horribly' is 'pressure'.
I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

I know, it's almost as bad as being so entrenched in your viewpoint that you completely fail to discuss the subject with any rational thought or consider there might be some nuance involved. Imagine being THAT person.
