Better performance tonight. Great win 21:57 - Nov 29 with 3841 viewsFrimleyBlue

Lots of excellent individual performances and some of the attacking phases were wonderful to watch
Burns especially excellent first half.

Shame to concede and for the likes of clarke and davis to develop they do need to work on in clarkes case stopping crosses and davis could have again marked tighter.
I do find sometimes we lost the flow with 4 subs and I think this game showed it altho having said that we could have scored another 2 goals.

Overall a great win. 3 excellent points and we go again Saturday.

There's nothing wrong with that in itself, it's more (as I mentioned above) that it's (a) always him... and (b) not only valid stuff (as you've alluded to) but a lot of nonsense - such as crowing about Burns not turning the team around immediately upon his return from injury. Or describing Burns as whack-a-ball. Or McKenna as smug. Or Tuenzabe as a waste of money and a squad place. etc. etc. etc. etc...

No-one has said you should never look at the negatives. Frimmers does that and also looks for negatives that aren't there. He does make the odd good point but you have to wade through mountains of sh!t to get to it.

There are several posters who mention things we could improve on but no-one gets the grief Frimmers does. Ask yourself why.

Because you find it hard to live your life without looking back?

Odd.

Phil/Gav - is there a way of you seeing which posters engage most with another poster?

I'd love to see Frimley's - I'd imagine that some of those who complain about his opinions also engage the most with his posts. It's one thing when it's on someone else's post - but if you don't like Frimley's opinions to that extent, I don't understand why you'd even open the post.

Err, no, what's odd is NEVER looking back! That's how you learn, from past mistakes (well, some of us do).

And the idea that what you said in the past doesn't count because it's in the past is very odd too.

"Or describing Burns as whack-a-ball."

Said it once, Gav asked not to use that word, you've used it more as have others.

KM smarmy not smug 2 years ago, took it back many moons ago. Again you've said it more than I have.

Tuenzebe, hadn't played, has now played 3 games, as said at the time if we can get him playing football we have the best player in the squad, still to early to know as he's now played his average minutes over past seasons. It's looking good though, here's hoping.

What's the insult?

You are odd

I'm not asking you to like my post.
You replied to the other poster that you were challenging my post. You aren't. You're moaning about other posts on another day. Why? Maybe you're lonely I dunno. It's sweet and ill gladly keep you entertained as I don't like people being alone coming upto Christmas.

But if you're going to join in with those who moan about the volume of my posts.. why create more by doing what you've done today.

If you're happy for people to have different views than you. Why be so desperate to point out all my views that are different..they may be sht takes. But they're my sht takes. You either accept someone else's posts or you dint. Which is it..

I do hope I've made your day easier tho.

It's not really an expectation is it? Both are developing players, they have weaknesses, weaknesses that have lead to goals being conceded.. Do you think they'll be coached to improve on this or left to it as it's the championship not the championsleague?

Yes, they will be coached, by football coaches. Do you not think that McKenna sees these kind of things. There is nothing like the perfect game, so every player will make a mistake or two at points of the season. I am sure Edwards will be more concerned about his team than McKenna is of his. Sometimes it is just best to enjoy something, rather than wishing for better. I bet you are a nightmare to buy for at Christmas.

I see nothing wrong with that. Lots went right, but stuff still went wrong and we conceded another goal.

In this thread, Frimmers has discussed Clarke not stopping the cross at source, which has been an issue in the past and Davis not quite getting goalside. Both valid points and both will no doubt be discussed in the post match breakdown.

If you never look at the negatives alongside the very many positives from games, you’ll never improve.

Yeah, Frimmers does have a more pessimistic outlook, but you need opposite sides to stay grounded. We were exceptional for the most part last night, but there’s always things you can improve on. I see no harm in highlighting those bits and his initial post here highlights positives.

"If you never look at the negatives alongside the very many positives from games, you’ll never improve."

So does he think that McKenna watches the games blind folded?
Does he not think the coaching staff are not watching each department?
Does he not think the defensive coaches know what they are doing?
I would rather leave it to those who can change things to change them.
If we had lost a second game on the trot, then I would expect some on here to pick the bones out of it and maybe some patience could be paid, but we never, we won with an impressive performance.
He will pretty much add a negative to any win. (he has since I've been on here anyway)

Yes because again there's positives and negatives in every game as the other poster said

I'm not here to be a wet blanket and just get all giddy about a win. I'll celebrate that and enjoy that away from the forum. This is a place to share your thoughts on the football. Well it's supposed to be.

The vast majority, If not all of us, will have a moan or three during the game, it is human nature after all. Once the game is over and the three points secured, the vast majority of us will leave the ground so, so happy with yet another win. Just think back over the 10 years before McKenna and then you might understand why the vast majority are so, so happy with how things are now and how any negativity may be frowned upon. I have no idea how old you are and have no wish to, but I am old enough to remember the very best of times and the very worst of times. Please forgive me if I am currently in cloud nine after the pre McKenna era. You be as negative as you like, but I will not apologise for being as happy as a pig in s...
