Villa were superb last night, dominating City after the first 15 minutes or so. Tenacious & skilful, no fluke about the result. Dominating supposedly the best club in Europe (although City are a bit off this season) is a different level from demolishing Hull city. |  |

Thought the exact same thing. The passage of play they analysed was just identical to our normal play.
Vaz to Morsy down the middle after inviting the press, one touch pass round the corner to Clarke. Up the channel to Chappers who lays it off round the corner for Mass and off we go!

I don’t get why this got downvoted - it’s factually correct, sure we played fantastically and beat Hull (and others) but the standard is completely different, if we had these players playing out from the back in the Premier League we’d get hammered every game, we’re doing fantastic this season but let’s get real too! |  | | |

Indeed, Burnley took the Championship by storm last season, scoring 87 goals & playing attractive, attacking football under Kompany. Yes, we performed well against them in the FA Cup & our position right now is no fluke, but Burnley have won 2 games all season & are bottom but one of the PL. | |

You can only beat what is in front of you. Last season the comment could have been made demolishing Barnsley is a bit different from dominating Hull City.
You do have a point that there is a long way to go, though. A part of me is excited for what we might be if we are in the Premier League next season. And then I remind myself we haven't got promoted yet by a long shot. |  |
