I've always wondered about this whenever I see any team not playing in their traditional home colours.
Does it actually have an effect? Does it reduce performance levels and chances of a victory? Are any reduced win % when wearing away kits simply due to it being 'harder' to win away from home?

I can’t imagine it does results wise, would be such noisy data around it too

I prefer us to play in blue... But I think there's more to the orange shirts that just an alternative kit.. Could be that its easier to pick out a team mate? Certainly done us no harm this season..
As long as we don't pick out a steward instead or the assistant referee give offside/onside based on one!

The cynic in me wonders if this a contractual thing with the shirt manufacturers or indeed sponsors.. Also could be our own club, you won’t sell many shirts if the team never plays in them.
