Often it was a case of, play the simple ball and keep possession or play a risky pass. Against this lot, we needed to retain possession and we didn’t anywhere near often enough. |  |

We didn't tackle well either. Tuanzabe particularly a few times looked like he had won the ball and then immediately lost it. |  | | |

Leeds did their homework on us and had the players to take advantage.
At times they didn’t mark us as closely, as others have, instead they were positioned to steal the ball after our first touch.
The good news is they have no further chances to take points of us. We are capable of matching their points tally in the second half of the season.
It is I suppose possible Southampton will finish above Leeds & Ipswich so we could meet in the play offs. |  |

The front 3 for us were all poor in possession and either mis controlled or laid off a misplaced pass. 2 of their goals game from us giving it away further up the pitch.
Morsey is playing within him self due to the one foul away from 10 cards and was no where near as aggressive as usual. Defensive we look as vulnerable as always to fast breaks but that comes from the way we play. Lots of misplaced passes from the backs didn’t help but generally our overall play once we got past the half way was very unIpswich and not really knowing what to do once we conceded 2 as there was not many options on.
Lick your wounds, look back at the game, learn from it and move on - maybe play safer for a bit to tire teams out before pushing on ?

Nope that was his worse game in a town top but against a very well drilled team so games like this will hopefully only make us stronger and want us to up a gear. | | | |
