McKenna now 1/3 odds on at Skybet and Bet365 to take Brighton Job 23:15 - May 20 with 7843 viewsDublinBlue84

Odds seem to be shortening by the hour.

Suggests there may have been a fair amount whacked on.

Poll: Should Davis have been sent off?

When all this nonsense started I felt there was no reason to be concerned unless the odds moved higher than 1/3 on.

Strangely I am still not concerned. This comment from the web ecplains why.

Seeing even Brighton fans say they don't blame him as he lost his spine shows how much he has been let down, a manager like de zerbi knows to build on momentum you need to buy replacements and without it's an impossible job to grow

De Zebie is leaving by choice,. McKenna is a not going to walk away from Ipswich where he has all the support that De Zebi craves, nor is he going to leave before he has achieved all he can at Town.

Id personally be very disappointed if KMcK left us for Brighton. Very disappointed.

In other news Patrick Vieira has just been on the same flight as my mate from Amsterdam to Manchester in a suit keeping himself to himself as you'd imagine he would be.

Ajax interview, an interview over here.........or just a weekend in Amsterdam.........hopefully now heading to Brighton!

I trade BF Exchange for a second income too. You're pissing in the wind to try and help most people understand what we're trying to say! Weight of money is king.

I had a similar response elsewhere when it came to the next landing spot for Aaron Rodgers before he went to the Jets. People struggle to understand that the desire not to make a loss on a line has as large an impact on a bookies odds as the actual probability of something happening.

When this silly season story started I didn’t think there would be any reason for concern until the odds dropped below 1/3 on.

Strange,y I’m still not concerned. My reasoning. De Zebi is leaving because he wants to, yet saying he wants to manage again in the EPL. Searched a bit and came up with this, which seems to make sense.

No way is KMc going to walk away from unfinished business, nor is he going to a club that seemingly, isn’t looking to give a successful manager the support he feels he needs.

Stay calm and dream on.

McKenna drifting to 1/2, Farioli shortening to 5/2. (SkyBet)

Yes, I am clutching at anything to make me feel more comfortable.

There's been some significant (by the market's standards) laying activity at the evens mark for McKenna on the BF Exchange.

I assume it doesn’t take much to influence the odds in markets such as Mansgerial appointments, perhaps Rommy can correct me if wrong.

If I owned a football club and was close to signing a manager, currently off the radar, I would make sure everyone was kept in the dark by seeking to reduce the odds on whoever was the current bookies favourite

I wonder how much of the money is from Town fans like me, having a punt on KM to soften the blow if he leaves…?

Laying activity = betting on something NOT to happen.

I.e. there's people within the market - savvy people - who believe there's less than a 50% chance McKenna takes the job.

Wow finally a sensible answer. I have made a few trades and bet for others to get the Brighton job at the soft bookmakers today just to change the prices in the hope it curbs a new thread every hour with people worrying looking at the odds.

I bet on Farioli at Skybet and BetVictor to make the odds change. I can bet again to lower the odds of him and thus increasing McKenna's odds if it will make you even more comfortable!?

Won’t take much at all. Really is a susceptible market for a fake gamble.

You could easily make someone go from 20s into about 6s with £500 staked across a few accounts combined.

Poll: Would you take a draw tonight if offered right now?
