See a lot of talk on Twitter about the situation, about staying for another year but maybe he feels his taken us as far as he can take us, his done a remarkable job here, maybe he wants to leave on a high. The blokes stock is so high at the moment maybe he feels now is the time to move on to pastures new, in his eyes will there ever be this much interest again. I don’t begrudge the fella one bit his bought as so much success, at the end of the day his not a supporter, football is a job for him. I hope he stays but remember Ipswich Town football club is bigger then Kieran McKenna
I'd be disappointed if he feels he's taken us as far as he can. That would feel like he's been living a lie when talking about the project and growth, etc. I realise you're just speculating though, so that could well not be the case.
I think he believes in us, but he must be under no illusions as to the scale of the challenge in the PL. If anything we've progressed a bit too quickly. I can't imagine last year he thought our L1 team was going to be the core of the team he's taking into the PL. We must need quite a few reinforcements, so there's a lot of work to be done to make us competitive.

My problem is he has been a huge part of the planning of spending millions on the training ground. Why now would he basically say 'cant go any further need a new challenge'.
Why would Brighton be a new challenge? Surely getting the right players to join us and get them to gel with the current squad is a challenge - a serious challenge. One that would surely challenge his credentials as an upcoming top manager.
His agent will try and get him into Chelsea or United. Much bigger salary therefore a bigger cut for the agent!!

I wouldn’t worry about infrastructure like the Training Ground. I’m sure McKenna has had an input. But a heck of a lot of people will have been involved in that from a lot of places, including I hope expertise from top sporting facilities in the US. Ashton oversaw the building of the state of the art Bristol City one too.
