Davies Confirms Derby Exit 28th Jun 2012 19:52
Town target Steve Davies has confirmed that he will be leaving Derby County this summer to join an as yet undecided club in the south. The Rams recently denied claims that the Blues had made a £500,000 offer for the 24-year-old but TWTD understands the striker is on Paul Jewell’s summer wish-list, the Town manager having been the man who brought him to Pride Park during his time as Derby boss. 42

Another Jewell/Evans masterclass....chased him all summer and if memory serves me correctly Bristol City ended up signing him, after we finally matched their bid for him.

Didn't he go to Bristol City? Glad we never signed him.

I don't remember that one either, but this one dragged on for months and was a bit strange ...

Kourouma Deal Finally Done 14th Sep 2012 19:15
French-Guinean midfielder Cheick Kourouma's move to the Blues has finally been confirmed. The 20-year-old, who TWTD was first to reveal was on Town's radar in May, signed a one-year deal prior to the closure of the transfer window but was waiting for clearance from the authorities. 24

....Joel Ward for an entire summer.

Probably should have got him.

Enduringly lovable, intelligent and thunderingly exquisite.

Didn’t we chase him for ages and then only gave him a one-year contact. Will have to google him to see where he is now.

Edit. Don’t think he’s had a club since he left us.

Seemed to have lots of clubs before he joined us but no contracts and lots of clubs claimed "ownership" of him.

Another classic! Went in for him more than once didn't we? When we were after the GK Henderson as well? Or am I getting muddled here?!

Henderson who we had on loan maybe twice and also Jason Pearce the centre back who I think ended up at Leeds.

…and some of our fans laughed at his comments when he joined Palace saying they were heading for the Premier League quicker than us or something along those lines.

Guess we’ve finally caught up
