Really depends on who has the most clout at the top at Man Utd. There are already stories of differences between the Glazers and Ratcliffe about the new manager if there is one.

Dont forget Ratcliffe wanted Potter as soon as his money was accepted. The club is a complete basket case. Does McKenna really wanted to be associated with that sort of regime. Will he have a say on transfers, probably not!

Hope it gets sorted this week as getting very bored with the whole circus and our club needs to move on with pre season not that far away.

McKenna is everything that Brailsford would want - young, data obsessive, performance improver and great motivator. His time at UK cycling and Team Sky was all about marginal gains, data driven strategy, accepting a longer term horizon for success and galvanising the team with that ethos. One imagines that Ratcliffe also shares that view. The external pressures and expectations are clearly on another level here and it will be interesting to see who wins the day in the boardroom.

I'm sure he would have a key input in transfers - the Sun ran this today "Man Utd line up Blackburn wonderkid, 16, as Sir Jim Ratcliffe begins new ‘No Galacticos’ transfer policy" and that's a philosophy that would align well with McK, as faras possible a prima donna free zone. It's the Sun... I know but if true it's near on a perfect scenario for him.
