It's really mixed messages from him - he's in Ipswich but wearing a Brighton top?
Does that mean we'll get him back on loan again?

Chelsea took Cucurella, then their manager, then their sporting directors and they still sold them Caicedo.

Wouldn't worry about that.

As others have said though, not sure he's worth using one of only two loan spots for.

I’d like him back permanently but I don’t feel we should use one of our only two available loans on him.

This.

Our loans should be used only for players we could not otherwise sign (I.e kit available, too expensive).

Think he was right at the time, just as Kieffer Moore was, but we need a similar player to Hutchinson. We will also need another centre forward, a midfielder to replace Loungo as I see him more as a back up than as the main man next season. A fullback and a centre back. We may also need another goalkeeper if one of them leaves.

The only player I want back 100% is Hutchinson. Sarmiento OK a squad filler if bought at right price not a loan as only 2 loans allowed this season . Moore did a decent job but we need better . And its goodbye to Travis.

Sarmiento was improving rapidly towards the end of the season, work rate was right up there and we saw a similar trajectory with Omari.

I'd have him back.

Jack Taylor is the man for the Premier League middle. Has all the right attributes, pace, power, great at interceptions, will be key for us.. sure of it.

I liked the bit of bite Sarmiento had about him. You don't often get that baring of teeth from the more flamboyant players. I'd love to think McKenna could polish him like he did Omari.

That said, I do agree that it'd be a waste to use one of only two available loan slots.

THIS IS DEMOC-RRRRRRR-ACY MANIFEST!

These players looked good in championship but put them in the pl environment and may not be as good..same with omari..take the hull game ..look at the space he was given to score the two goals we ain't getting that in premiership..

I can't find the clip now but I thought they were disappointed with the lack of game time.

Edit. Found quotes:

“I followed him. I watched many games,” De Zerbi said. “He didn’t play so many games in the first XI but he was important for Ipswich. In West Bromwich [where he was on loan in the first half of the season] the same, I think.

“He needs to play in a different context. He can play number 10, he can play winger but he has to play a particular type of football.

“Ipswich and West Bromwich played in a good style. He can be important next season, but we have to analyse the squad, the new players, the players like Deniz Undav [who is on loan at VfB Stuttgart] if he comes back or not, I don’t know.”

Watched a handful of Bundesliga games. Undav looked very useful from what i saw.

Is 92_laces the new DaveU?

I'm unsure about Sarmiento, from a sample of games watched from afar he came on chased down the ball, at times miscontrolled it gave away possession etc.

Equally he was magic at times we know. Has a lot of potential and development ahead of him, depends on the financials not a loan for me as others have said.
