Having this chat with my son earlier.. I can't quite work out why he's been ignored by Southgate.
At first I thought it was the slight weakness of his game which is defending, but when you look back, he's learned from earlier games in his town career where he was the easy target with floated balls to the back post, so i'm going to say tick that improvement box. Then there's the engine, he was always great at getting forwards, maybe not so then getting back, he's clearly doing both and not only that but even in the last 10 minutes of the game he's still doing both jobs, so another tick.
With how much england tend to control games too, i dont understand why he's not being picked, even if it's as a back up option..
Is there a big part in his game i'm missing, or is just because it's not been done in the prem yet.
Just passed midnight here in Thailand but in the morning I’ll try to find that vid. Not to prove a point, it’s a really good video. It was even mentioned on the Brighton fans forum and it turned a lot of their fans towards McK because it shows how flexible and exciting we are going forward.
