Whenever I see old kits, I'm reminded of the beauty of simplicity, but unfortunately the logo-infested shirts are here to stay. I get the commercial reasons, but why on earth do we need the silly flashes on the arm saying "Premier League" or whatever? Yes, it's trying to promote the PL as a brand, but it's unnecessary. I would also allow only ONE sponsor's logo on all shirts.

If that one logo rule was imposed on all clubs then a lot in the lower leagues, and non-league as well, will probably find it a lot harder to continue.

No, they wouldn't, it would be pretty much the same income cut for everyone & they'd all simply have to pay out less in wages.

Or charge more for the logo rights, given that the exclusivity would add to the cachet.

I liked it when Man City went anarchist in 1969:

Northgate school team kit. I was on the left.

I always liked classic, simple QPR hoops or West Germany's green away kit or old Ajax

A great kit. One of Malcolm Allison's better ideas, while he did come up with the flashy, new Crystal Palace kit as well.

In the 9th Cubs we had the late 70s Admiral Spurs kit, with long sleeve option. It was identical but just lacked the Spurs cockerel (I think).

This classic Wales shirt from the 70s

The brown Coventry Away kit in the same style from 78 was also pretty dandy
