VAR Vote 13:45 - Jun 6 with 3171 viewsTRUE_BLUE123

19-1 in favour of keeping. Only Wolves vote to scrap.

Disappointing but not at all surprising.

Over 92% of decisions before VAR were correct.

What VAR removes is part of the soul of football. It doesn't ADD anything.

We also have to remember that the stats will be blurred by the VAR offside decisions that 'showed' someone to be 'offside' by a toe nail.

We all know that the technology isnt accurate enough to make calls to that level of precision, so those stats shouldnt really be included.

I cant stand NFL, and I don't like the stop start nature of VAR and taking the joy out of the game.

I'm very happy to take a bit of human error over spoiling the game.

Each to their own.

Yep that's why i don't think it works for the culture of football.

I mean bad referee decisions are the stable of good post-match arguments in the pub

As an NFL fan, I accept the game's stop-start nature of the game so pausing to get a ruling is still within the game's natural ebb and flow. The correct decision rate is nearing 99% the last time I checked. However I am not sure that it works as well in football due to the game's faster pace, and also the expectations of the fans.

If people want away with VAR, then fans must accept that human error without an option to review will be part of the game (As it was pre-VAR) and all the consequences that go with it.

If the stats are true then almost one in five was wrong pre VAR which is really too high

Completely agree. You certainly don't lose or gain anything in NFL with the way the decisions are made.

In football, id be fine with VAR if they were always correct. But they still make mistakes and the system is still being ran by incompetent officials. So what you lose isn't worth what you gain.

Hon earth do you need to experience itotherwise you are at a disadvantage?

You don't play any differently as to whether you are playing a game with VAR or without VAR. And itsn't a system used in football when you have to made judegment to have the technology used like cricket or tennis.

Considering you didn't actually even know which clubs were voting i actually wonder if you know what VAR is??

Random.

For what it’s worth, I imagine as a defender there are things you would do differently if you knew VAR was in play versus if it wasn’t.

That’s just my opinion though. You do you.
