Anyone used an eSim? 07:52 - Jun 10 with 2040 views | Mookamoo | Child#3 is off to the USA for a few months. What's the best way to use a mobile in the states, Just buy a sim when out there, or are eSims easy to use?
Anyone used an eSim? on 07:59 - Jun 10 with 2011 views | BlueJudge | Just set up an account with Airalo ready for a 3 week trip in August. Really easy to understand and set up. Getting the SIM settings right when landing is important so calls can be received via WhatsApp etc for existing mobile number, but not as an international call. That is for data only rather than providing a new number. If she needs a US number probably best to get a proper SIM when there. Plenty on YouTube to assist.

I generally use Airalo when travelling but just found GoMoWorld that is a bit cheaper, it’s working fine for me and I have had no reason to contact their customer services so I can’t tell you about that. Airalo customer service is brilliant.

Anyone used an eSim? on 08:19 - Jun 10 with 1954 views | itfckenty | My wife used an e-sim when she went to Egypt. Incredibly easy to set up, we just bought the e-sim from the website, halosim I think it was and then once done, you just scan a QR code on your phone and it installs. (Just make sure the phone is compatible with e-sim) And turn off data roaming for the main SIM card to avoid charges. She had zero issues with it though, she got a data only one and just called me via WhatsApp.

Anyone used an eSim? on 08:30 - Jun 10 with 1913 views | Lord_Lucan | Our man Fraser recommended to me that I get an e-sim and simply buy a local sim wherever I am and use that for data and calls - thus still having my normal number to receive. Mind you, he runs the risk of a large phone bill if he keeps receiving calls on UK number. Speak with Fraser, he is the biggest geek on the planet.

Anyone used an eSim? on 12:15 - Jun 10 with 1668 views | SWGF | As below...very easy and most phones can handle a couple. Used Airalo on three mobiles when going to Istanbul as Turkey isn't covered in our contract. Relatively cheap and completely pain-free.
