One small thing I noticed on the new Portman Road seat plan… 10:34 - Jun 21 with 4238 viewshoppy

Slight change to the wording in the top left of the graphic - “Children under the age of five are ‘not recommended’ in the lower tiers” - it used to be ‘not permitted’ - may be of interest to some.

I've always thought that's a bit over excessive when the full length of the lowered pioneer is family seating with the ball regularly booted out into touch?

Before they brought that ruling in, we had great seats, but as at the time Yasmin was under 5, we had to move. The only place they could find us, as we needed 5 seats together, was middle tier pioneer, right in the corner in front of the players lounge, but outside of the pitch area which wasn’t a great view to be honest. When she turned 5, they again, were only able to accommodate us in the Sir Alf Lower, as all the ones where we used to sit were all taken.

That was only really an issue under Mick.

Notice on that ground plan , we have created two new lounges instead of 4 executive boxes ? They will obviously be a little special I would have thought .

I reckon away fans at PR have the best allocation view wise in the Prem…how many other clubs offer seats on the sides leading up to what must be considered the best views in the stadium…shame we can’t whack them all along the length of the lowe tier in the Cobbold like they do at Wolves..proper hard to get a concerted chant/song going there…I guess it’s fans blocking the views of the outdated Cobbold boxes which prevent that….

Could take Gillingham's approach and erect scaffolding on top of one of the stands for them to sit on!

Whats the small section in front of V4? I had noticed they had pulled some seats out of there.

Have they made it into the 'away disabled fans section maybe.

Another change is the lowest age for SBRL , used to be 12 as the minimum age .

Looks like it might be safe standing too?

Edit: altho I’d be surprised, as there’s not enough rake there for sitting behind, is there? I dunno.

Think it was 13 before, as Yasmin is 12, but she’d still got a year before she could be North Stand lower.

Was 12 for the start of the 22/23 season as we were SBRU until he turned 12 and then went into the lower as soon as he was old enough too.

I'm pretty sure that row J in the Cobbold is way further back than shown in the graphic.

"They break our legs and tell us to be grateful when they offer us crutches."
