That would be a very good signing and one that I have always thought just makes sense.
Did a decent job in the Prem for a horrific Blades team. 6 goals in 14. Can play up top and on the left. Good physical profile and still only 25. |  |

If there's any truth in this at all, one would imagine he's on the same shortlist as Philogene is. Dribbly left sided attacking player who scores goals. English born Chilean international who's still only 25.
He was a youth at Man Utd. Although he left there about 3 years before Kieran joined, Kieran must have plenty of close contacts who know a lot about him.
He was too good for Blackburn. Villareal signed him when they had just finished 5th in La Liga and scored more goals than all but the top 3 (barca, real, atletico madrid).
Didn't immediately work out for him at Villareal and they loaned him to Sheff Utd where he scored 6 from 14 for them in the Prem (in, obviously, a very weak team). So to say that he impressed at United (in the tweet below) is not doing to be disputed by many.
Might be seen as an upgrade on Broadhead? Might be seen as having a more definite immediate impact than Sarmiento? (who might not be available anyway).
One would think it's not impossible that we could get him if he's not in Villareal's plans. If he'll come to a p*ss poor Sheff United team in order to play in the Prem, you'd think that we wouldn't be rejected out of hand. And as Villareal didn't pay a fee, they might be philosophical about what they get for him. There would surely be competition for him though, given that he has been in the Prem shop window now. Would surely not be unwelcome at many a Premier League side outside of the top handful.

About as shrewd a bit of business as we will do all summer if you can get him at £5m-£7m which is what Villareal are rumoured to be willing to part ways with him at.
At that price point it’s an absolute steal, 25 years old, has that profile of player KMc really likes, could operate as 9 or left.
It wasn’t that long ago Blackburn were turning down daft numbers for him, was one of the most sought players in EFL. |  | | |

Feels like he added the Diaz about 7 years ago and was just Brereton for about 7 years before that.
He must have first broken out at Forest aged 10. |  |
