In theory, 130k votes separate a 200 seat Labour majority from a hung parliament

But 200k going the other way could leave the Tories with zero seats.

It was never fit for purpose. Having minority governments is never a recipe for a happy nation

Be interesting to see, IF the polls prove correct, if the Lib Dems still believe in proportional representation if they get 15 x more seats than Reform with fewer votes

Every conceivable scenario for the Lib Dems still leaves them having less seats than they should have on a pure PR basis. Even if it wasn't the morally and ethically right thing to support PR (it 100% is), they would still stand to benefit from PR over FPTP in terms of MP numbers.

I always find these sort of stats a bit pointless, because probably every election ever has had a number like this which would swing the election if every single person moved from one party to their nearest competitor to give them a majority of 1.

I think FPTP is better than the other options personally, in actually delivering a Govt with the ability to achieve things

But it subverts democracy massively

Resigned from the Tory party in 2017 because of their deal the the DUP. Have advocated proportional representation ever since i've been posting on here.

You silly Billy.

Voted Labour at the last Scottish Parliamentary elections and council elections. Voting Labour rowdy.

Didn’t vote for anyone at the last election because the choice was between an incomplete racist and racist incompetent .

If you actually read what I posted rather than what the voices in your head were telling you then you would notice that I have been very pro Starmer, especially as he expelled that racist Corbyn from standing as a Labour candidate and kicked out most of the anti semites from the Labour Party.

But keep digging. I’ll lend you a shovel if you want.

Your post is a good example of why it's a shame the education system wasn't more prominent during the election campaign.

I'm sorry it failed you.
