Wonderful replies across socials R.E our linked player rumours on 11:36 - Jul 3 with 1791 views | _clive_baker_ | Can understand the sentiment to be fair, a lot of supporters of premier league clubs (and beyond) will be showing us no respect at all. On paper we've got back to back promotions from L1 and I wouldn't think fans will look at most of our squad and think premier league quality, which is probably true at this stage. Not to mention the performance of the promoted sides last season which is going to contribute to that sentiment. Ultimately were it not for an impending points deduction for Leicester we would probably be outright favourites for relegation with the bookies. Happy to keep it that way, stay humble and see what happens. I doubt many championship fans would've had us down for automatic promotion this time last year either, so who knows.

I agree with that, except that I don't want our transfer targets to think it, otherwise we may well not land any of them, with the result being that we do indeed struggle to stay up.

I honestly don't think they will, plus loads of clauses get put in contracts now regarding relegation to provide support if that happened. so either way they know financially they would be fine. and also they know if they "perform" they could get that next step. win win really.

Like last season, the more rubbish people think we for as long as possible the better. Under the radar - best place to be. Never forget were the Leeds supporters polishing the open top bus and talking about which PL players to bring in during the summer in January because they’d caught us and LCFC up and were already promoted with Leicester. Little Ipswich we’re going to fall away. Job done. But it wasn’t. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

No chance of that. They're well clued up, as are their agents, and as expected there seems to be great enthusiasm to come here from exactly the type of young, quality, half-developed players that we're after.
