Is Foden world class?! 10:36 - Jul 7 with 4335 views | Chrisd | For a City you can see he is a wonderful footballer, but he’s played a lot of times for England now - out of position at times - but I just don’t see he’s world class? He mainly goes missing in games, you wouldn’t even know he was playing, especially during this tournament although a lot of our players fall into that category. I appreciate Pep sees him daily and rates him highly, however world class players are able to do things, provide the unexpected and deliver a bit of magic, I’ve yet to see it from him in an England shirt. What are your thoughts?

Kane is but is approaching was status - and Bellingham might be and is already in his own mind. What England do have is a core of very good players in the right positions. Usually they don’t.

Is Foden world class?! on 09:51 - Jul 8 with 606 views | franz_tyson | I don't know the definition of world class - but I'm sure Foden isn't. He's grown up in a Pep environment where he's familiar with a Pep style of play around other very talented individuals. Take that away and he seems lost. Never went on loan and preferred to stay in his comfort zone around Pep. Contrast that with Bellers who's now on his third pro club in three different countries and can play in various positions and influence games far more without even playing that well. Sick to death hearing about Foden's best position. Just drop him for a player like Gordon or Palmer or Eze who are more likely to fit in.
Is Foden world class?! on 10:27 - Jul 8 with 582 views | Libero | Foden is a systems player in the same way Raheem Sterling was for Manchester City- albeit vastly more technically gifted. But no, he isn’t even close to being world class.
Is Foden world class?! on 10:23 - Jul 11 with 492 views | ArnoldMoorhen | It's worth remembering that Lionel Messi had some pretty iffy World Cup tournaments. Some players struggle with peaking at the right time for their club, with cliffhanger League campaigns, domestic and continental club cup finals all happening around the same time, then winding down for a month. And then being expected to go to a different country, away from daily routines, and play in a different system with a different coach, alongside different players, and peak again. Foden was excellent, especially in the first half, against the Netherlands. His best match of the tournament so far, in my opinion.

Foden was a cut above and then some compared to Bellingham yesterday. And has been improving throughout the tournament whilst Bellingham hasn't.

Foden was so much better last night, much more like it. Surprised he was subbed instead of Bellingham.

He looked exhausted which wasn't all that surprising.
