If I were 20 years younger and went out to watch England matches at night then I might think that there was definitely a buzz out there. But staying in for the matches creates a more insular feel towards such them. | | | |

Ipswich fans, we're all spoilt and a little bit footied out, but this is a wider malais.

I think tournaments need special games to get the fans on board.
Euro 96 was probably the last time it happened properly, with the Scotland game and then the Holland game really getting the momentum going. |
