Peter Kay at the O2 last night… 07:23 - Jul 14 with 3569 viewsITFC_Forever

Booked tickets in November 2022, and the day finally came yesterday.

He was excellent as well…. He has also lost a fair bit of weight and looks all the better for it.

Saw another Town fan there, so if you were sitting in block 110 and have a Town tattoo on your leg, I hope you enjoyed the show too!

One complaint is the O2 catering prices…. A pint was £9!!!!! Absolutely scandalous. And crisps were £2.70 a pack. Not PK’s fault obviously, but an absolute rip off in the venue.

On concession prices, I worked in a theatre and a big comedian gets 80% of the gate so the venue only takes 20%. They have to make their money in other ways There's a need to charge so much for a pint, especially in London.

Whenever I go for a show, I make sure and always have time for a couple before the gig and if its good we'll go for more after. Its a delicate act as you have to make sure you don't stitch yourself up with needing a pee before intermission.

Glad you had a good time at the gig though, £3 pack of Crips or otherwise.

Glad to hear he was good. A friend at work went to one of his shows a few months back and said that he had lost a lot of weight and sounded unwell. From what you have said he is now back to his best. Which is good.

Why would anyone pay a high price for a ticket, have the expense & hassle of getting to the O2 to then watch a comedian (however good he is) on a big screen? Get his latest DVD or whatever & a 6 pack of strong lager & you're sorted.

Much the same at Wembley last week. £9 for a Budweiser. £2.99 for an bag of crisps, £3.00 for a chocolate bar and £10 for a box of popcorn. a rum and coke was £14 and they didn’t know what rum it was and it came out of a hand pump dispenser like a large hand wash bottle, utter disgrace.

Agreed

I only go to small venues or if I can get a seat close enough to the front.

Make that three Town fans! I was there in block 101.

He's still got it. Although I did think the ending was a tad.... odd?!

Back in the day my Mrs would have a fake deodorant can filled with tonic and a fake umbrella full of vodka. Got them in gigs, theatres, concerts etc every single time.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

In the old days of alcohol bans at Scottish football lads would inject vodka into oranges.
