Broja on 20:00 - Aug 20 with 3128 views | nrb1985 | Yes. Was excellent at Vitesse on his first Chelsea loan. Was excellent at Southampton in the PL on his second loan, so much so Chelsea tied him to a six year deal on 100k pw to keep a hold of him as Saints and others were pushing to sign him. Didn't feature much at beginning of the disastrous 22/23 season but was told that he would be the main striker by Potter once the season got started again post WC '22. Unfortunately Chelsea played an exhibition match during the WC and he did his ACL. He never recovered from that and the club moved on, signing Jackson among other strikers. Was then the victim of a ridiculous loan to Fulham last year where he didn't play because they had Muniz. Bottom line, has barely kicked a ball for 2 years but was good enough 18 months ago for Chelsea to tie him down for six years. So it's a bit of a risk but the only reason he's even vaguely gettable for us is precisely because he's barely played in that time. A fit and firing Broja will be an enormous asset for us and if anyone can get the him back to his best our man can. [Post edited 20 Aug 2024 20:01]

Wouldn’t listen to anything he says. Absolute weapon.

that season he went out on loan to Saints in the PL and did very well. They, West Ham and a couple of others all wanted to sign him at the end of that season in fact but Tuchel wanted him back - before he signed Aubameyang and then got fired 2 weeks later! | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Is you saying that Asa is an absolute weapon the very definition of shooting yourself in the foot?

Absolutely. Don’t listen to me. I thought Chopra was going to blast us into the premier league.

Six years @ £100k per week seems to be the norm not the exception for Chelsea.....
Broja on 06:33 - Aug 21 with 1639 views | ibbleobble | Yes, saw a few games when he first signed at Chelsea and some candid from the bench at Fulham. He was at the Euros although was fairly quiet. Good, powerful striker who’ll fit this system very well. Another inspired signing.

This was a deal that pre dated Clearlake but was signed under their ownership. Marina and Cech were the ones who put the new deal in front of him such was his form at Saints before that. He needs to play football now having lost 2 years of his development. Hopefully he finds himself again with us but wouldn’t expect miracles in the first few weeks. He can still look quite raw given how much football he’s missed.
