To win the championship 07:10 - Aug 28 with 4711 viewscressi

Have we bought players to win promotion from the championship to get promoted next season if things don't go to plan this season.
Apart from a fit Phillips and Cajuste who has played a decent level every one seems a massive Premier league risk. We seem to have the Forest scatter gun approach I hope it works but am concerned it will bite us on the ar*e.

I agree with others that this is a squad designed to keep us up.

As McK explained, bringing in experienced Prem players when you've just been promoted is difficult and expensive. Our recruitment has been as good as I think it could be.

That said, if we do drop back down, depending on who we are able to retain, we should be able to smash the Championship next year. Again.

Broadhead hasn't the physicality in my opinion, if he wasn't injured I wonder whether we would have part ex'd him on the Clarke deal?

I disagree in that I think he has incredible speed of thought and that will make him.a success in the Prem and I think KM rates him.

Lots of players in the Prem don't have the physicality, Phil Foden a perfect example, there he uses an ability to keep the ball and great vision to be a top PL player.

To be fair, cressi's not a football expert.

Yes, but being the dumping ground for players relegated from Burnley doesn’t fill me with confidence. Foster hasn’t even set the Championship on fire this season, totally anonymous. £25 million is a joke, plenty of better players out there

I see you have got plenty of the dreaded down votes for daring to question Town’s scattergun approach to recruitment which seems to be reaching new levels of absurdity with each passing day

Reminds me of the civil service where all sorts of rubbish is bought at year end because next year’s budgets will be cut if you dont spend this year’s money

Being charitable there is little financial risk this year because the costs are kicked down the road via long contracts and spread out fees… the really expensive potential duds are both rentals too after the absurd attempt to sign a Greek striker mercifully failed

Assuming s50%of this job lot will be surplus to requirements this time next year and one or two will ‘do an Ahadme’ as we say in dodgy signing parlance it will be interesting to see who ‘supporters’ [ick on first…. In this respect the goalie has given himself a head start…. But the Suffolk Pirlo is probably dreading ever being fit enough to play

What's really charitable is TWTD Admins continuing to allow you to spoon out your anti-ITFC negative drivel on a regular basis.
