How many threads on here never take the opposition into account when discussing the game, over what actually happened etc? The fact we are spoiling everybody else’s day is wonderful

A quick visit to Villa forum on 17:32 - Sep 29 with 3776 views | Nthsuffolkblue | I suspect they missed McGinn big time. They also relied on 2 top saves from Martinez to get a point at Town. They will be aware that we haven't won a game and had won their last 4 or 5. There is a balance between 1 team playing poorly and the opposition preventing them from playing well. I don't really care whether they think it is one more than the other. If I was a Villa fan, I think I would be rather annoyed that Morsy never saw a second yellow card, though.

McGinn was a big loss for them, I was delighted when the teams were published and he was missing, been their best player this season. Plus it meant they would be weaker on the left. I didn't think the Morsy challenge warranted a 2nd yellow but my mate who has seen the reply thinks it was definitely a yellow and the ref let Morsy off

Sam being our captain is allowed to comment to the Ref it was noticeable that he was in the Refs ear regards his booking and the fact he failed to book Villa players for similar, even if that was not the case and that they kept going to ground to try and force his second booking . Very clever Sam helped him stay on the pitch I reckon!

It’s quite remarkable that we’ve managed to be lucky for 2.5 years now. Close to 100 points in L1, not far off in the championship in a competitive field, deflection FC, late goal FC etc. And now unbeaten in 4 in the top flight. The penny might drop for some at some stage that were half decent, as fit as a butchers dog and brilliantly organised.
A quick visit to Villa forum on 12:18 - Sep 30 with 1534 views | Blue_In_Boston | We all see the game differently. I'm sure we have an unconscious bias too. If Morsy had been a Villa player we would have wanted him sent off, he sailed close to the wind. I thought the draw was about right to be honest.

I'm annoyed that Rodgers never got a card tbh and think that is part of the reason Morsy didn't see a second yellow. There was a point in the second half where for about 3 minutes Rodgers was just shuffling side to side fouling whoever he came near. At least 3 in about a minute.

Morsy basically stood on the end of his foot/toes after winning the ball. Has been blown out of proportion by sky for a talking point and as a result Villa fans. I didn't really think it was a yellow and the ref only just about gave it as a foul after a long think, which says a lot.
