Having been forking out increasingly extortionate prices for specs at Vision Express, I got my prescription and ordered from Goggles 4 u . Varifocals , with transitions lenses and all the coatings for scratch resistance, UV anti glare etc and under £50. As long as you can get your PD (pupil distance) measured, it seems like a no brainer. |  |

I went to my local independent opticians a few weeks ago to get eyes tested etc. I am at the age where I don't need glasses all the time, but they help. Certainly for driving.
After consultation I was led to their fitting department, found a nice pair of glasses (admittedly Ray-Bans). Went through the process, £625 for them. Man oh man, what on earth!
Took my prescription, directsight website, new part at my dorr a few days later 48 notes.
