They're not a great side but there is some quality in there still
There's some big units and they do some stuff pretty effectively. Calvert-Lewin is a quality player too, very few relegation sides are going to have a striker of that quality. |  |

Actually, flicking through Google's table graphic, Everton have only finished below 12th on merit twice in the past decade, if we acknowledge their low placing last season was due to sanctions. They likely average over 50 points per season across the decade and an average league finish of 10th or 11th. I think everyone got caught up in the excitement that they may finally taste Div Two action, and they may still do, but they're also as seasoned as PL outfits arguably get and have showed their quality today.
I don't mean to hide from the evidence so far that we aren't good to enough for this league, by inflating how good Everton are. I'm not writing us off either but we aren't at the level yet. [Post edited 19 Oct 2024 16:27]

What’s your solution then? Sack KM? It’s going to be a long season for you mate unless you face reality that we’re probably going to have quite a few days like today! Things didn’t go our way today, mistakes were punished and ate into our confidence, Everton may not be the best but had a good day.
