Our own worst enemy. Again. 17:16 - Nov 2 with 1545 views | itfcsuth | I’m so much control in that game. We looked so good for so long, looked so much more like ourselves again. A moment stupidity from Phillips (who was excellent). Whether you like it or not, it was the correct decision. Why on earth people were clapping Phillips off was beyond me, just cost us a huge 3 points. Terrific for so long, and the group should take real positives from that.
Our own worst enemy. Again. on 17:19 - Nov 2 with 1473 views | LeoMuff | He literally brushed his leg having pulled out of the challenge, no way was that a second yellow. Especially as every time we were in a promising position edge of their box, foul , no card. Shocking ref, how is pushing someone over in the box not a pen.

Indeed. Blatant cynical fouls on the edge of their box not yellows apparently.
Our own worst enemy. Again. on 17:21 - Nov 2 with 1435 views | SuffolkPunchFC | He was clapped off because he did have an excellent game. Both his yellows were deserved, but not as bad or stupid fouls. For the first his trailing arm hit the back of the neck - it wasn't dirty, or particularly bad, but unlucky that his momentum caused an unfortunate contact. The 2nd was just mistimed - he went for the tackle, and should have, but just missed. On another day, there would have been no contact for either and no yellow card in either case.

It’s a yellow. Other way round you have no complaints.

He was excellent, but ultimately threw away a good performance with stupidity. It cost us a massively.

Nonsense. One of the softest yellow cards I've ever seen.

Well if you view it that way, Leicester would have been down to nine men. Their 7 fouled throughout getting a just a smile from the red. Their keeper was wasting time throughout the first half into the second. One little chat with smiles (swapping email addresses for Christmas greetings) and that was that. Muric? Just once and no warning - in the book he went. One of their lot stamped on Davis near the end. Any action? Nah. When their pink keeper fell over in the box, foul. Take the free kick five yards outside. No problem. VAR check for the Chaplin incidentt. Not on your nelllie when there’s a player to be sent off. Technically right but even handed? You tell me. I’m amazed Morsy wasn’t booked for breathing. The silly little turtle man booking our players for everything else. It was a shocker of a refereeing performance but in the context of the PL it wasn’t. Leicester are important. They won it. Against an interloper like us, they can do what they like on and off the pitch. 13 month annual accounts? No problem. Let’s all have a laugh at the fag packet crayon entries on the balance sheet. Rules? That’s for the tinpot. The ref gave Leicester in their dirty grey kit an ill deserved point. No consistency - this silly little man was no better than the myopic clowns in L1 Rant over. I’m annoyed - not at the team, but at the PL and that tool of ref today and his stick insect Lino.. My team played well today - against Leicester’s twelve. I guess it’ll be that way for the rest of the season. [Post edited 2 Nov 2024 18:12]

It’s the softest division in the word. It’s borderline non-contact at this stage. It’s awful. But it doesn’t take away the fact, it’s foot up, it’s late, it’s stopping any counter. It’s a definite second yellow unfortunately. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Assuming you were watching in the ground, did think the ref was consistent to both teams? Fair? Even handed?

The ref has a responsibility to the fans not to ruin the game, it wasn’t dangerous, his foot wasn’t up, contact was minimal. They played him. He ruined the game for everyone by making a marginal decision into a red card.

He pulled out and didn;t stop the player getting the ball away. If there was contact at all it was slight. The player literally did a pirhouette.

If it is borderline non contact it does take way from that , and if that is stopping a counter then almost any forward movement in the game is a "counter" the guy had just punted it up in the air.

Soft but not as soft as Harry's second last week. We've been on the end of some shocking decisions.

It’s clearly a yellow, silly tackle.
